提供2個COM端口供兩個應用軟件來處理同一個接收資料.例如我們由外部的GPS接收器所收到的資料可以同時提供給不同的應用軟件來處理.有的可能顯示所在地的瓦斯管線圖,有的顯示自來水管線圖.由於Windows上面一個COM端口只能被一個應用軟件使用,所以兩個應用軟件要有兩個COM端口可用.可是GPS接收器只有一個,標準的兩COM端口卡有兩個連接頭無法同時與GPS接收器連接,只有採用AP2T1卡才可以滿足,既要有兩個COM端口又只要一個連接頭的要求.

經由USB連線提供2個COM端口供兩個應用軟件來處理同一個接收資料.例如我們由外部的GPS接收器所收到的資料可以同時提供給不同的應用軟件來處理.有的可能顯示所在地的瓦斯管線圖,有的顯示自來水管線圖.由於Windows上面一個COM端口只能被一個應用軟件使用,所以兩個應用軟件要有兩個COM端口可用.可是GPS接收器只有一個,標準的兩COM端口卡有兩個連接頭無法同時與GPS接收器連接,只有採用AP2T1卡才可以滿足,既要有兩個COM端口又只要一個連接頭的要求.

經由網路可以在遠端電腦中心提供 1個COM端口供應用軟件使用來存取外部設備.同時保留現有控制面板與外部設備的連線.最適合目前的控制面板與機器連線結構下,想要擁有連網能力的改善工程使用.一般的網路串口轉換器只有提供一個串口接頭,當設備的串口與其連接時則現有控制面板就不能用,於是只能在本地控制面板與遠端聯網間二選一相當不方便.採用APORT100P就沒有這種困擾.例如一部地磅秤重器原本與本地顯示器連接,現在想要利用網路同時在遠方顯示重量則採用APORT100P相當方便.

b) APORT111 box: Ethernet to one COM port with 1 RS232 connector and 1 Ground isolated RS485 connector for external connection.
