In this file you can find the structure for APORT box to be used in SCADA environment. Traditionally we may use RS232 or RS485 connection in SCADA environment. But we may have distance limitation in RS232 or RS485 connection. So we may need to use IP network to overcome distance limitation. But it is different feature in RS232/RS485 connection and network connection. It is best to use UDP packet method in SCADA environment.
In this file you can find the feature for IS800A box. Generally you can connect one PLC controller with one weighing indicator directly. But you need IS800A box to let one PLC controller to connect with multiple weighing indicators. Because one standard weighing indicator may send data without ID code, so we may not know the received data from which weighing indicator. IS800A box can let your PLC controller to connect with multiple weighing indicator physically. And we can append ID code to data from weighing indicator for PLC controller to identify which weighing indicator to send. In normal intelligent serial port sharer box (ex, IS800 box) we can only let PLC controller to connect with multiple RS232 devices physically. But we need data from each RS232 device with ID code for PLC controller to identify data source. For such RS232 device without ID code we need to use IS800A box.
In this file you can find the feature for APORT800SR box. In some application environment we need to have same data source to send data via IP network. In one IP to serial converter box we may use different TCP/UDP port number for different serial ports in one box. Originally we may have serial port sharer (ex, S272) to let one data source to send for multiple destination device. When we need to send such data to destination via network, then we need IP to serial port converter box (ex, APORT800) to work with serial port sharer. APORT800SR box will combine the serial port sharer and IP to serial port converter box in one box. Then we can have simple structure to have one master port for data source and network for 8 dedicated target devices with same data received.
In this file you can find the feature for APORT100P box. Generally it is not easy to find the reason for abnormal condition in RS232 connection. When you need to connect RS232 device with IP network environment, then you may use IP to serial converter box. If there were problem to work in remote site, then it is not easy to find the problem. You may need to test RS232 device with RS232 console directly. Or you need to confirm no problem in IP to serial converter box. In APORT100P box we can have local console to connect with RS232 device and we can have remote console to work via network simultaneously. So it is easy for you to compare data in local console and remote console to find possible reason for abnormal condition.
